making home...

Well, 1 down 1 to go. I added up my time and it was about 5 hours to sew this apron, I didn't think that was too bad for someone who previously didn't know the difference between a bobbin and hobbin. ...Okay......so I made that up, but really, I didn't know much about sewing machines. I even went ahead and put a nice little frill on the top and bottom of the apron...I would have modeled it for you, but you would have been so focused on my beauty that you wouldn't have noticed my masterpiece. ...Okay ...so I made that up too.

Anywho, it's done and now I get to start the next one, it's a beige tapestry with corduroy pocket...Should be cute.

I made a plum cake yesterday, I had a bunch of ripe plums sitting in my basket and although Ashlyn wanted them, she was only pretending to eat them as she would take a bite then somehow suck the soft fruit off and spit out the peel.....all over the house. Yesterday I stepped on half a plum...it was a sick feeling. I was afraid to look under my foot and believe it or not, was pleasantly suprised to see it was a plum....if you know what I mean.
The cake was ...alright... could have used some whipping cream, but as you know, we're nearing the end of our monthly shop, so those kinds of things are slim pickins round here. BUT I must tell you that I'm happy to report, I have lots of meal ideas still in my freezer!! Somehow, I was able to use less groceries than anticipated and this month will be a much smaller shop :) so far we've been doing this 3 months and have saved $400 and this month we're hoping to save another $300 :) Woo hoo!!!!
We have the kids pictures today, I'm REALLY looking forward to it...(sarcasm).... they both have colds, and I'm now envisioning runny noses glistening in the photos. Sick.

'Mommy...Chocolate milk makes me feel happy.'
Ahhhh, if only.

Fabulous job on the apron!
I suppose chocolate milk would make a great 'feel-good' food, if I didn't hate chocolate. :)

Thanks Tina!

Can't believe you hate chocolate! I think that's the first time I've ever heard that :)
