Last night was a beautiful evening of family gathered to celebrate the long Victoria Day weekend. There were hot dogs, devilled eggs, potato salads, and pop. There were games and laughter. There was a bon fire with marshmallows and s'mores. There were fireworks with ooo's and aaa's and warm snuggles on a cool night.
The things dreams are made of.
Gabe saw the first star of the night above the tall silo, and whispered quietly
"I wish I may
I wish I might
Have the Wish
I wish tonight"
When asked what he wished for, he said .... 'ice cream'.

LOL! The innocence of a child. How refreshing.

I'm glad you had a great Victoria Day - ours was cool but we still got the bbq up and had a nice dinner with the kids and even Oliver had his own burger!
Hey Coach...
Victoria Day is when we celebrate the Queen. Although, we didn't do too many 'Queenish things'. I think you guys get your holiday weekend next week?? am I right?
:D !!!!
yes, we do. And in honor of Memorial Day, my hubby says he's cooking ribs. So...I tell my grandfather how much I appreciate him fighting in WW2 for our freedom and he loves to tell his stories. It's neat, really.
ok, so you don't live in the U.S.? Am I starting to catch on here?? You can reply to my email in your inbox if you want, or I'll check back here for your answer.
